Modeling and Simulation of Cascade Reservoirs Flood Control System Based on Hybrid Stochastic Timed Petri Nets

Taking the cascade flood control system of guanyinge and shenwo reservoirs along taizi river as the research object, this paper discussed the hybrid characteristics about flood control system of cascade reservoirs, put forward a kind of hybrid stochastic timed Petri nets (HSTPN) to constructing the hybrid model and to analyzing the conversion relationship between the continuous variable dynamic system (CVDS) and the discrete event dynamic system (DEDS) in the flood control system, resolved problems such as the conflict of transitions, time-delay and fluctuation of water level and so on, and finally conducted the simulation analysis to the model based on HSTPN utilizing Simulink/Stateflow. Results turned out to be that the HSTPN could describe the hybrid characteristics of cascade reservoir flood control system, and advanced the conflicts of transitions, time-delay and random problems in the Petri nets. The last but not least, the flood control scheme introduced in this paper could limit the average discharge volume within the safe range which Liaoyang city and its downstream farmland are affordable.
