Coherence Analysis of A Class of small-world Networks

In this paper, we introduce a class of small-world networks. We investigate the first- and second-order network coherence quantifying as the sum and square sum of reciprocals of all nonzero Laplacian eigenvalues. Firstly, we deduce the recursive relationship of its eigenvalues at two successive generations of Laplacian matrix. Then we compute the sum and square sum of reciprocal of all nonzero Laplacian eigenvalues. Finally, we get the scalings of their first- and second-order network coherence with network size N_g are ln N_g and N_g ln N_g, respectively, which are smaller than some studied tree graphs, such as Web graphs, T fractal and Peano basin fractal.
