摘要

Communication systems in the healthcare sector suffer from a broad variety of medical sensors that need to be connected and integrated in order to get a holistic view of a patients general condition. This often leads to proprietary solutions that integrate only a specific set of sensors and use custom-build software tools for data analysis. Replacement of sensors often enforces redesign of significant parts of these software tools. Standardization efforts provide a problem mitigation by using uniform communication protocols and data formats. However, the broad range of different sensors and treatment scenarios in the health care domain is unlikely covered by a small set of these standards. Therefore we propose a data transformation middleware that provides consistent access to streams of medical data by exploiting a common nomenclature and data format based on the x73 family of standards. The middleware is designed to operate on resource constrained aggregation devices like smartphones and allows for dynamic reconfiguration of transformation modules in order to fit the requirements found in mobile e-health environments.
