Solutions for Plane Strain Consolidation of a Saturated Medium

摘要

The eigenvalue approach, Fourier transforms, and two-step backward finite difference method, has been employed to study the plane strain consolidation of an isotropic porous elastic medium, saturated by one-phase incompressible fluid. The solutions of displacements, stresses and pore pressure has been obtained by the presented method. A model has been used to study the feasibility of the solutions. The results indicate the solutions is effective.
