摘要

Data analytics refers to the process of analyzing collected big data, extracting useful information and forming conclusions by appropriate statistical analysis methods. Data analytics helps people to make judgments in order to take appropriate actions. Cost data analytics, especially the cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis is the important basis for enterprise operation decision-making. Firstly, we introduce the difference between CVP and activity-based CVP, and review the application of cost data analytics and activity-based costing. It establishes the cost function and income function in the traditional break-even-point (BEP) analysis. And in the activity-based BEP analysis, it assigns cost to the related activities and calculates the activity-based cost driver rate for determining the activity-based breakeven activity volume. A case study on A branch division of S express enterprise is carried out based on the traditional cost analysis and the activity-based cost analysis to provide the basis for cost control.
