This paper investigates delayed control for switched nonlinear systems with improved average dwell time (ADT). Firstly, in order to reduce conditions and apply to a wider range of nonlinear switched systems, an improved ADT is introduced. Secondly, interval type-2 (IT2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is fully utilized to deal with the formulation problem of the nonlinear discrete-time switched systems. Thirdly, by introducing the weighed coefficients for each fuzzy rule of lower and upper membership functions of IT2 T-S model, it can reduce the conservatism of this system. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the applicability of this approach.
