摘要

It was found that the Earth's atmospheric dust deposited in the Sonoran Desert, positively influences the development of cyanobacteria of biocrusts and microbialites, regardless of the natural habitat. Extrapolating these results on Mars, suggest that the Mars atmospheric dust can be a potential source of nutrients and a dispersal mechanism for cyanobacteria. The interactions between atmospheric dust and cyanobacteria have important implications for sustaining probably life on other planets. Where cyanobacteria colonize new environments by oxygenic photosynthesis. Perhaps as they might have developed since the Precambrian on the Early Earth.
