In this paper, we present our research work towards building a visual-facial system to automatically detect and recognize the affective state of a group of individuals who are linked to each other based on the same space and at the same time. More specifically, we present the process of collecting sets of visualfacial samples in various groups of students and integrating them into corresponding databases. The results are discussed, conclusions are drawn and future work is outlined.
