A passive flow control system using a thin channel, and its capabillity to maintain the flow attached to a convex surface is numerical investigated, using CFD. The thin channel (slot) connects two different pressure points on a convex surface and, thus the tendency to redistribute the pressure on the surface will maintain the jet attached to the convex surface. Numerical results on two-dimensional configurations show that the jet can be kept attached to the surface for a longer distance and more deflected than in the configuration without slot.
