Recirculating aquaculture is the future development direction of aquaculture industry. At present, most of recirculating aquaculture systems adopt the culture mode of fixed circulation water flow rate, but during different breeding stages it is difficult to maintain good water quality condition and there will exist energy and resource waste in the initial stage. Therefore, this paper proposed a culture mode with variable circulation water flow rate, which adopts fuzzy PID control combined with the gray prediction model, taking dissolved oxygen concentration as the control target. It can effectively improve the control precision of dissolved oxygen and provide new ideas for reducing energy consumption in the breeding process to some extent. The experiment results of simulation showed that the fuzzy PID control algorithm with grey prediction had better performances for the control of dissolved oxygen concentration, which effectively improved the control quality of conventional PID and fuzzy PID control.
