For studying the metal's three-dimensional plastic flow rule along the rolling direction and spread direction during rail universal rolling, the longitudinal flow was predicted by deriving elongation coefficient of different parts of rail based on the law of constant volume before and after workpiece was rolled. Moreover, the integrated deformation influence factor was introduced into this mathematical model to express the influence of the spread coefficient and the reduction coefficient of different parts of rail on the metal's three-dimensional plastic flow. In addition, for determining the cross-section's lateral flow characteristics of rail universal rolling, the universal rolling process of 50kg/m rail was accomplished and the lateral flow displacement and velocity between the linking zone of the web and base or head of rail.
