摘要

We found that cell-mediated degradation is critical to generate more space within microgel scaffolds for long-term hMSC proliferation. These degradable scaffolds can also contribute to integrin signaling pathway activation for angiogenesis and osteogenesis. Future studies will apply these results to the development of 3D cell-laden microgel scaffolds for bone regeneration.
