The necessity of describing VHF propagation under different physico-climatic conditions around the globe demands scrupulous study of radiometeorological parameters of the atmosphere. Vast areas of the Pacific Ocean's coast are only scantily explored from this point of view. Aerological investigations of the lowest atmospheric layer values for refraction coefficient N and its vertical gradients Gn (to a height of 3000 m above the sea level) have been performed according to the average data during 10 years (1961-1970) for 21 stations. Besides, integral statistic distributions N and Gn have been constructed data of the aerological of seasonal and daily variations N and Gn have been revealed, statistic moments have been calculated, superrefractive conditions have been discovered and there have been shown mechanisms of its formation during the investigation.
