The mechanism of binocular stereoscopic vision (BSV) has not been clarified and there exist controversies and differing opinions. The research is of profound significance. It is the purpose of our research to study the laws of nature of stereoscopic vision. Our results supported the argument that the shape, distance and brilliance, colouring are unable to separate in the vision process generally. The former is detected by disparity and the latter depends on diffrequency. They can be separately investigated by experiments, however, and the results show both making a greater contribution to BSV. But that does not mean the conclusion is correct, i.e., the disparity can negate diffrequency function and vice versa. We consider that disparity or diffrequency are essential conditions to generate BSV, but only if both disparity and diffrequency are complementary and connected together.
