Steel V-N and steel V-Ti-N were reheated at 1050°C or 1150°C for 53 min, 318 min, or 1333 min, respectively. Both steels contain a low carbon content (0.067 %), a high nitrogen content (0.017 %). A1N, not VN, was the main precipitate in steel V-N. When 0.009%Ti was added, the precipitation of V was promoted by the formation of a complex compound, (Ti_xV_(1-x))N, that was the main precipitate in steel V-Ti-N.
