Industrialization, an inevitable occurrence in developing nations, depends significantly onadvanced engineering techniques being well balanced with the environment. This text detailshow the growth and development occurring in Guayaquil Ecuador compromised the environmentand quality of life through the contamination of water resources. The efforts made to improvesuch problems are elaborated while focusing on the importance of engineering and water qualityin a global society context. Throughout the text, observations and research are documented in adefined discussion of the measures taken to overcome the difficulties that the citizens ofGuayaquil experience. After scrutinizing analytical data, results show that things are not alwaysas they appear.
