The effect of root-zone water potential (RWP) on the simultaneous diameters of shoot and berry was assessed in 3-year cultured grapevine (Vitis vinifera x V. labrusca) with digital photograph during fruit expansion and softening stages. The time series analysis was applied on data analysis. The results showed that: During fruit expanding stage, the trend of the fruit diameter begins to decline when the RWP is lower than -30 KPa. The trend of the fruit diameter slumped when the RWP reached to -160 KPa during softening stages. So the irrigation should be carried out when the RWP decreased to -30 KPa during fruit expending stage, and to -160 KPa during softening.
