Study on Dust Density Measurement Accuracy of Fully Mechanized Caving Face

摘要

The fully mechanized caving faces use high power coal mining equipments and apply top coal caving technology. The dust density is high when the coal face is in production. Coal mining machine cutting, advancing supporting and top coal caving are the main sources of coal dust in fully mechanized caving face. When the dust is produced, it will be influenced by working face airflow. Gas-solid two-phase flow engenders and diffuses to the whole area of working face in the process of flowing. Fluent is applied to simulate dust's migration law in the working face and determine its spatial distribution condition. The simulation result can provide evidence for measuring dust density of fully mechanized caving face accurately. Sampling sites are determined according to working face actual situation. Starting time and duration of dust sampling and data processing are analyzed to determine the reasonable parameters and enhance accuracy for dust density measurement.
