Hazards analysis of operation procedures for batch processes is very valuable as plant personnel often spend considerable amount of time and effort in preparing and verifying them for correctness and completeness. For this reason, an efficient strategy has been proposed in this study to utilize SDG for the process hazards analysis (PHA) in batch processes. This approach has been applied to an industrial case. The results show that it is more accurate and more comprehensive when compared with the conventional methods.
