Foreign MNEs in China will be innovative in narrowing the gap between their headquarters and their Chinese subsidiaries in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) when they can actualize the positive political opportunities available in China and enhance their dominate positions in the global production and market networks through CSR strategies in China and new organization forms. The capacity of their Chinese subsidiaries will be more responsive to local and international causes through linking with existing partners in the global network, leveraging upon existing resources, and learning of Chinese subsidiaries.
