This paper presents the Production Extension Module (PEM) for Ship Hull Construction Work-preparation Software based in AutoCAD platform. This module provides a mechanism for creating a block-based topological solid model with all parts and stiffeners contained and can automatically generate section-plan workshop drawing which meets the layout custom for shipbuilder. Besides, optimized assembly plan as basic ERP interface link are also available in this module. Benchmark based on a real engineering project is provided by this paper in order to illustrate the efficiency of this module when dealing with construction modelling and making workshop assembly plan for shipbuilding.
