Even though wooden floorings have been used in Finland for centuries both in residences and in civic buildings, material characteristics of wood are nowadays often unrecognized when interior materials are selected. People, both professionals and consumers, consider materials from their own, varying perspectives. Perspective consists of the knowledge and the experiences person has of different materials.
