摘要

When the child becomes an adolescent, a gap often develops between a parent and the child, especially between the father and child in the Chinese one-child family. A father and child share space in their house, which is one of the places that face-to-face communication between the two is most likely to take place. A room layout that provides greater opportunities for face-to-face communication would be important to the father-child relationship.
