This study compared to the quality of fused images using multi-sensor and multi-resolution data. The comparison is based on topographic interpretation and is made visual, graphical analysis. High spectral resolution image(Landsat TM) had acquiredon 1991 and 1996. High spatial resolution images are used DD-5 and IRS-1C panchromatic image acquired on Jan. 9, 1991 and Nov. 6, 1996, respectively. The objective of this study is to assess fused images that produced by image fusion techniques. Themethods are used IHS transform, Brovey transform and new approach(Enhanced Spectral and Spatial Transform; 3H and 3S). 3H and 3S methods are best image sharpening and maintain the information of original data. INS transform had a blurring by lragedifference in spatial resolution(1:15, DD5:Landsat TM). Multi-sensor and multi-resolution imagery with moderate spatial resolution has great potential to improve the performance of urban topographic mapping. New techniques is best results for imagesharpening and topographic mapping.
