Dynamic Model of 25 Yak-54 Unmanned Aerial System

This paper presents the dynamic modeling analyses performed on a 25% Yak-54 unmanned aerial system. The contents include an overview of the aircraft geometry, description of the dynamic model, derivation of the aircraft state-space, and longitudinal and lateral-directional mode analysis. Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA) was used to compute the stability and control derivatives. MATLAB was used to compute the aircraft state-space and derive the transfer functions. With the dynamic model, the 25% Yak-54 can be effectively implemented as a research platform for small unmanned aerial systems less than 25 lbs.
