摘要

Cascaded H bridge inverter is the key component of the static synchronous compensator (STATCOM). It is widely used in power factor compensation, for its fast response, high reliability, and safety. In this paper, we introduce a sampling system of phase-sensitive circuit into the model cascade STATCOM switch, and propose a grid power factor automatic compensation system. Model of the system operation is then presented. We also analyze the cascade STATCOM switch in normal working condition by applying the switching function of double Fourier transform technique. A simulation platform is constructed to verify the feasibility, correctness, and reliability of the system.
