Analysis of Factors Influencing the Application of Prefabricated Concrete Structure Based on Structure Equation Modeling

With the government promotion of sustainable construction and rising demand of Chinese people on the private and public buildings, the traditional construction method cannot meet these requirements. Compared with traditional method, prefabricated construction leads to higher productivity, shorter construction period, and more friendly effects on the environment, so it gets more attention. However, the application rate of prefabricated concrete structure is low in China. The research is aimed at finding the main influencing factors and the relationship between factors for the promotion of prefabricated concrete structure. An integrated method of questionnaire, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling is applied. Thus the importance of different factors can be identified and the corresponding strategies of successful adoption of prefabrication are put forward. Policy factors have the highest impact on the application of prefabricated structures. The Chinese Government should give preferential policies and strengthen management, which is of great significance for application.
