摘要

The GT24/GT26 fleet has now achieved more than 660‘000 fired hours and 20‘000 cycles, on over 70 units. Development programs in order to enhance the performance and availability of the machine have come to fruition. These developments include an upgraded compressor, improved aerodynamics, and inlet cooling systems. The technical background of these upgrades is shown along with the results of their implementation in the field. Most importantly discussion will lead to where the product stands to date based on experience during the last months. These include the fuel operability, start-up functionality, application to combined cycle (especially ALSTOM’s Single-Shaft reference plant design), emission characteristics and flexibility of the unit due to the sequential combustion concept, all which create the ability to compete in present day global electricity markets. The unique advantages of this unit, now proving themselves in the deregulated environment, are described. Examples of projects showing the applicability of this product will be shown.
