摘要

Model order reduction (MOR) is an important technique to decrease the order of a higher order system (HOS) without influencing much its stability and performance issues and also retaining its dominant poles. Since dominant poles are majorly responsible for stability of the system, these should be retained while reducing the system order. Once the system model order is reduced, the reduced order model can conveniently be analyzed for setpoint tracking, disturbance rejection capability and robustness analysis of the controllers designed for this process. An exhaustive review for MOR techniques has been carried out in this paper.
