Real time systems like many other systems work with limited number of resources that needs scheduling for managing its work. Computers, with its resources like processor, main memory and hard disk, speed have been increased nowadays, therefore requesting any kind of data could be affected by service have been used and may result in a performance issue. To solve this problem, multiple hard disk scheduling algorithms have been introduced with studies in order to minimize the seek time, like FCFS that serve the requests for reaching specific cells in a given queue. This work simulated a Smart Priority Roulette Genetic (SPRG) algorithm to optimize the FCFS scheduling algorithm. The results showed better performance.
