Image processing technique, colormetric principle and CT method are adopted at the same time so as to measure the three dimensional temperature distribution for pulverized coal flame. Considering that the coal flame is luminous, the passive system, or no source system, is applied. The pattern of data acquisition is multiangular scanning. The convolution method is used for reconstructing three dimensional temperature distribution. In order to obtain temperature signal from brightness signal, the two color method was introduced. Based on the spectrum feature of pulverized coal flame and the sensitivity feature of the CCD-camera, selecting two wavelengths are 550nm and 575nm respectively. The measurement results were compared with the results from thermocouple, which shows that the method is reasonable and useful for flame measurement.
