The carbon fiber-reinforced (CFR) material is very useful in aviation and spaceflight. Its intensity is high, heat insulation well, and density 1.9 × 10{sup}3kg/m{sup}3. This material is suitable for protecting missile against cremated. The cremated situation can be tested by ultrasonic array scanning technique. In this paper, the elastic constant matrix for anisotropic CFR material is given by the measurement of ultrasonic wave velocities. The attenuation and the slowness curves for this material are obtained. The focusing property of the ultrasonic line array is studied.
