In order to improve the stiffness of the theodolite support platform, the frequency target topology optimization method was studied. A weighted frequency target topology optimization method is proposed to achieve the topology optimization layout with the objective of frequency corresponding to the specific vibration mode shapes. A topology optimization program was developed to carry out the topology optimization of the theodolite supporting platform and the optimal topology configuration of the platform was obtained. The detailed finite element models of the initial platform and the optimized platform were established respectively. The stiffness and modal characteristics of the supporting platform were simulated to verify the effectiveness of the optimization model.
