摘要

On the basis of lithologic association, metamorphism and deformation, the Proterozoic rocks in Huaiyil Mountains can be divided into three successions: Mesoproterozoic Shuangqiaoshan Group, early Neopro-terozoic rocks and later Neoproterozoic Sinian System. The early Neoproterozoic rocks in this range are composed mainly of slates, sandstones, rhyolites, rhyolitic dacites, basalts and basaltic andesites. The Neoproterozoic volcanics have given the Itb-Sr and Sm-Nd isochron ages between 900Ma and 800Ma, which is further confirmed by single zirconU-Pb ages of 8O0-83OMa. Meanwhile, 1638Ma, 2096Ma, 2339Ma and 2378Ma of detrital zircon ages have, been obtained trom rhyolites, which show some, age information of felsic protoliths in the deep crust. The Neoproterozoic volcanics in Huaiyu Mountains show bimodal feature in which the basalts and balastic andesitea exhibit relatively evolved nature in composition and show an enrich-ment of incompatible elements including Ti, Nb and Ta, high SREE contents and highly fractionated REE patterns, inferring continental rift setting.
