As many as 65 institutions belonging to 19 different countries participate in the activities of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Breast Cancer Cooperative Group, which is a multidisciplin-ary group involving surgeons, radiotherapists, and medical oncologists.It is therefore not surprising that the EORTC Breast Cancer Cooperative Group (EORTC-BCCG) portfolio, in the field of early breast cancer, contains clinical trials looking at optimal local therapy using surgery and radiotherapy as well as trials looking at optimal systemic therapy.
