The cable tension directly influences entire structural character in the cable arch. In this paper, using three-node nonlinear quadratic curve element, the formulation of natural frequency for cable is developed. Based on dynamic analysis of cable, the governing equation of the relation between cable tension and natural frequency is obtained. Numerical solution showed that the method of this paper can lead to accurate analyzing results.
