The problem of finding trend resistant run sequences in performing factorial designs has been raised in past years and solutions have been provided to create trend resistant run orders with minimum number of level changes (in order to reduce experimental costs). With these sequences estimates of factors effects are not affected (biased) by the eventual presence of a trend component into the model.
