摘要

This paper describes the results of air and aqueous environment rolling - sliding wear tests at 700°C of Si{sub}3N{sub}4-TiN/100Cr6 and Si{sub}3N{sub}4-TiN/E24 pairs. The average friction factor was still high (about 0.4 to 0. 52). There was a slightly difference between the air and aqueous conditions but the wear mechanisms were different. Special emphasis is on the observations of the worn surfaces and the detection of a specific protective and/or lubricious tribofilm (presence of TiO{sub}2 for example) in order to explain the results. This paper deals with numerical models of coated discs. The discs variant with discontinuous frictional surfaces has been examined. Stresses and temperature distributions observed with multisector or multipin discs were found to be advantageous for the reliability and lifetime.
