摘要

ESPR project started in 1999 and was finalized in June, 2004 under METI and NEDO guidance and support as 5 years program just after the precursor HYPR project. As for the project research objectives in ESPR program, as environmentally compatible technologies, 3 major subjects, viz. noise suppression, NO{sub}x reduction, CO{sub}2 reduction technologies are selected and system integration technology is also essential because they are thought as necessary conditions to realize Next-Generation SST propulsion system. In order to fulfill the above, 2 Japanese national laboratories (JAXA, AIST), 4 overseas engine makers (UTC, GE, RR, and Snecma) and 4 Japanese organizations (ESPR, IHI, KHI and MHI) had been making efforts during project period. In ISABE2001-Bangalore, ESPR project was introduced especially for project objectives, research subjects and project Targets and goal. Then, 1n ISABE2003-Cleveland Intermediate achievements were reported after initial 3 years research cycle In this paper, overall summary of research achievements during these 5 years are presented.
