The objective of the present study was the evaluation ot the possible effect of M. hyopneumoniae (Mh) vaccination on the serum levels of two acute phase proteins (APP): Haptoglobin and major acute phase protein (PigMAP). The study included 120 piglets from a commercial farm located in NE Spain. All the animals were of similar ages and weights. Two different commercial Mh vaccines were used, with a single dose administration. Randomization was performed blocking by gender, and 3 groups were created:Group T: 32 animals, vaccinated with M+PAC~R, Group B: 32 animals, vaccinated with a new commercial Mh vaccine, Group C: 56 animals, non-vaccinated controls. Animals were weaned at an average of 20 days of life (day 0) and groups T and B were vaccinatedon day 3.
