This presentation discusses two kinds of spatial uncertainty, extrinsic and intrinsic, and summarizes recent developments dealing with the less studied intrinsic uncertainty. These developments include new methods for estimating fractal dimensions of tree crowns, identification of the crown primary unit, and estimation of functional and structural crown depths.
