Leukotriene B_4 (LTB_4) is a potent chemoattractant and activator for granulocytes and macrophages [1-3]. The high-affinity receptor for LTB_4 (BLT1) was cloned and shown to be a G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) with low structural homology to the other known GPCRs [4]. Here we report a second LTB_4 receptor, BLT2, found in a gene cluster with BLT1 [5,6]. BLT2 is the most homologous GPCR to BLT1, and is identified as a low-affinity receptor for LTB_4.
