摘要

Construction of ice-resistant platforms -with foundations from reinforced concrete for developing of the Russian Arctic shelf is restrained by the absence of the enterprise for their manufacturing. The advantages of the reinforced concrete base structures are confirmed by the existing technical and economic studies and foreign experience. The most suitable place for organisation of construction of reinforced concrete floating structures in Russia is the Kola Bay with a non-freezing sea, depths up to 100-150 meters,rather mild for Arctic area climate. The reason for this choice lies also in the presence in this area of a powerful manufacturing base and availability of auxiliary infrastructure: habitation, railways, quarries of crushed rock and sand, excessive workforce.
