In our previous work, we found that direct intramuscular injection (IM) of DNA vaccine encoding HBsAg could stimulate higher levels of specific antibody than intradermal administration (ID) in mice. To obtain more relevant data on efficacy of DNA vaccine for human use, we carried out such studies in primate-Rhesus Monkeys.
