摘要

One of the key causes of employee burnout, poor morale and decreased productivity is consistently working long hours and overtime. Combine that with low wages and you have a great recipe for high employee turnover rates. Sure, anyone can handle the occasional 14- to 16-hour workday, but to leave work night after night at 7:30 p.m. when you close at 6 p.m. is enough to affect even the hardiest and most loyal employees. One of the primary attributes of a caring and compassionate work environment is toensure that employees don't work excessive hours that disrupt their home lives. While this lecture isn't designed to solve or completely eliminate all of your late-night problems, with a little structure, planning and foresight, you can greatly decreasethe number of nights you stay late at work.
