摘要

In the past decade, the Finite Element Tearing and Interconnecting method (FETI) has been proven both, theoretically and in applications, to be a powerful domain decomposition method for solving large problems. Although the basis of the method was already proposed 10 years ago, several improvements and variants have been published in the past 5 years. In this paper we discuss a matrix framework for describing the methods pertaining to the FETI family and we use this matrix description to outline the link between the variants.
