摘要

The aim of this paper is to study numerically the coupling between heat transfers by conduction, natural convection and radiation in a cellular wall formed by hollow clay tiles with three air-cells deep. The wall vertical surfaces are assumed to be isothermal while its horizontal surfaces are considered to be adiabatic or submitted to a periodic condition. Equations governing conservation of mass, momentum and energy are solved using the SIMPLE algorithm. Flow structures, temperature field, Nusselt number and radiative heat flux distributions in the cavities are analyzed. Interaction between radiation and natural convection heat transfers is discussed. Effects of the number of air-cells in the vertical direction are also studied.
