摘要

Allopurinol, a well-known inhibitor of the enzyme xanthine oxidase has been widely used in the therapy of many diseases such as hyperuricemia, gout, nonbacterial prostatitis etc. However, it was found that in a few individual patients allopurinol can induced serious hypersensitivity. Sensitive procedure capable of determining allopurinol at low level is therefore of considerable interest in pharmacokinetic and clinical studies. In this paper the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) based on the reaction of allopurinol with tris (2,2'-bipyridine) ruthenium (II) [Ru (bpy)_3~(2+)] in a flow injection system has been studied and a sensitive ECL method has been developed to detect allopurinol in aqueous solution.
