A series of universal super twisted nematic matrix modules (STN LCD) with the information capacity of 240 * 64, 240 * 128 and 320 * 240 pixels with built-in drivers have been obtained in the "chip-on-glass" technology (COG). The process of shaping of an oriented STN-layer of a liquid crystal was optimized. The phenomenon of a hysteresis is minimized at a level of multiplexing up to D = 1:240 (B = 1:16) with magnitude of contrast no less than 75% and switching time about 170 ms.
