摘要

This paper concerns environmental upgrading of existing industrial plants. In particular asphalt recycling by using waste heat from a cogeneration plant in a fixed hot asphalt plant has been considered. The subject is focused in considering not in the introduction of very innovative technologies,but mainly in integrating mature technologies in order to achieve continuous improvement of environmental performances. After an introduction conceming present issues in asphalt production, plant considered is described and environmental analysis is implemented by using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
